if we should ever launch a fashion brand we'll make sure to also drive everyone insane by creating new sub-labels and brand spin offs every week. for guaranteed success we will follow the great example of adidas. there's the "performance" subline, the "originals" one and another one called "style", which again is divided into the seperate y3 label by yohji yamamoto AND - and this is where we might be able to surprise some of you - a relatively new line called SLVR. it was created in 2008 and this is how the SLVR pr department puts it:
"The adidas SLVR Label is smart sportswear, perfectly balanced between the worlds of street and high fashion, for active lifestyles and effortlessly stylish individuals. adidas SLVR communicates style with a whisper rather than a shout, emphasizing authenticity, innovation, and subtlety of design."

which then looks like this

but what we actually wanted to discuss with you our dear readers, yes, all three of you:
for spring summer they presented these sneakers with wegdes

now somehow we just can't decide whether this is a decent trend and something to give a try or rather one of the worst things that could happen to our feet?
well, as always it depends on the idea's execution. and there are nice examples...
